Moray Community Health and Social Care Partnership is committed to enabling its citizens with the ability to maintain maximum independence. Part of this strategy involves the provision of stairlifts and fixed track hoists to homes of council tenants and owner occupiers who have been assessed by Moray occupational therapists and who qualify for equipment that enables them to be lifted and moved and with equipment that enables them access to differing floor levels. Equally, school staffs, in consultation with NHS paediatric occupational therapists, identify children who also require this type of equipment. Equipment will be installed into a variety of establishments ranging from homes, schools and other Moray Council premises. There will also be a need to remove the equipment once it is no longer required. Additionally, there is a requirement that new and existing equipment is regularly serviced and repaired, and that this can also be done outside of normal working hours in cases where it is deemed to be a matter of urgency.
