Binding Site, a Specialist Protein company and myM-link member, has launched its new MININEPHPLUS, a small stylish semi-automated nephelometer, together with Freelite serum free light chain assays (recommended by International Myeloma Working Group guidelines for diagnosis, prognosis and when monitoring patients with monoclonal gammopathies). The exclusive combination of Freelite and MININEPHPLUS will enable laboratories with small Freelite workloads to provide results for this essential assay quickly and easily.
The MININEPHPLUS is easy to use, with simple on-screen instructions in several languages and assay specific magnetic swipe cards containing pre-programmed calibration curves. It’s automatic assay blanking and reagent mixing ensures consistent results and the pre-programmed integrated single button pipette improves precision. An optional hand-held sample barcode scanner plus automatic calculation of sample results gives users confidence in the accuracy of this light and portable analyser.
There is an automatic antigen excess check for Freelite assays, a feature often seen only on larger analysers, and small volume free kappa and free lambda kits (30 tests, 15 tests/vial) allow rapid, cost effective testing for laboratories who are currently sending out samples for Freelite serum free light chain analysis.
Additional serum protein assays including IgG, IgA, IgM, IgG subclasses, Rheumatoid Factor and C Reactive Protein will be available on the MININEPHPLUS during 2010.
