55904 Acute Hospital - Tunbridge Wells


The project contract is approved. It commenced on 21 April 2008 and is due to complete 21 June 2012.  The project is 7 stories, over 65500 Sqm.   The Project value is approximately £230,000,000   

The scheme comprises a PFI contract for the construction of a 512 bed acute hospital and 59 bed mental health unit of 65000 sqm .  The works will include wards, theatres, mortuary, accident and emergency facilities, day surgery hospital, shops, cafe, canteen, ambulance bays, parking, and the project may also include fully serviced key-worker accommodation which may be provided through a separate PPP structure.
