52727 Eduction and Training

Sweden: The objectives are to produce a curriculum and produce related training materials that will be used to conduct a 3-day training course to strengthen knowledge and skills for controlling HAI caused by MDR organisms.

The main objective of the planned course is to strengthen capacity in EU Member States for control of HAI due to MDRO in acute health care settings and to promote the broadest possible implementation of appropriate methods.

A second objective is to achieve team building between colleagues with similar responsibilities in control of nosocomial spread of MDRO in EU MSs and at ECDC and to share training approaches, knowledge and best practices with expert leaders in the field. ECDC will use the curriculum and the training material when organising training for participants from MS and share it with training bodies in MS involved in control of HAI on their explicit request.

The estimated maximum budget for the contract is 70 000 EUR. It is envisaged that not more than 50 % of the budget should be used to cover the logistical and reimbursable expenses.

Further information and full details of the contracting authority are available on request.
