55554 Domestic and Portering Services


The contract is for the provision of cleaning of clinical and non clinical areas at the contracting General Hospital and for the portering of patients and goods between departments at the Hospital. The contract also includes for the delivery of goods to other healthcare locations in the Metropolitan Borough area.

The hospital has approximately 500 in patient beds and covers an area of approximately 70 000 m². The cleaning services will be provided seven days a week to all occupied clinical and non clinical areas. Portering services will be provided seven days a week and will include (but not exclusively) patient movements, patient food, linen, medical records, pathology samples, pharmacy goods, medical gas cylinders, general goods, post and waste.
