Calls for Expressions of Interest for the provision of NHS Primary Care Dental Services as part of the national Dental Access Programme the Care Trust invites Expressions of Interest from all suitably qualified and experienced healthcare providers (including dental practitioners, independent dentists, social enterprise/third sector organisations, Dental Body Corporates and other potential providers) to provide mandatory (including urgent) primary dental care services in the locality.
The Care Trust is currently seeking to increase access to dental services by setting up a new service in identified priority areas. The services will need to be delivered in accordance with enhanced access and quality standards, by a provider with the capacity and capability to offer patient centred, preventative dental care and good value for money.
The provider will be required to deliver services to 2,800 new patients during the initial contract period with 8,000 UDAs per annum. The initial PDS contract term will be 5 years with an option to extend by another 3 years at the end of first term.
